Where did November go????

I feel like I blinked and the month of November was over!  Between the NJEA Convention, conferences, half days, and the Thanksgiving break, time flew by and before we knew it, December was knocking on our door!  However, despite the fast month, we were very busy in the TES Collaboratory!  We were able to work on all kinds of fun Thanksgiving STEM projects!  I have included some pictures below.

This past week, we fell back into our normal routine.  Take a look at what we are working on in each grade level:

In Pre-School, we are working on coding activities with our friend, Mr. Code-a-pillar!

In kindergarten, we are continuing to work on our "Designing Bridges" unit, and the students tested out the effects of force using index cards.

In first grade, we began our "Designing Lighting Systems" unit.  We started to read Omar's Time to Shine, and we explored the connection between light and mirrors.

In second grade, we began our "Designing Water Filters" unit.  We started to read Saving Salila's Turtle, and we explored the effects of water pollution.  We also began to search for and test materials that we think would be helpful in designing a water filter.

In third grade, we finally had a chance to dive into our Coding unit.

In fourth grade, we began to work on our "Designing Windmills" unit.  We started to read Leif Catches the Wind, and we explored ways that wind can be used.

We are looking forward to what next week has in store for us!
