Super Students, Super Projects, and a Super Bowl

Last week, our Collaboratory Cubs were busy learning and exploring while they eagerly anticipated watching the Eagles in the Super Bowl!  Take a look at our exciting week:

In Pre-School, our students were learning all about space, so they were able to design and build moon rovers to help out their astronaut friends!

Our kindergarten students worked hard on creating the blueprints for their final bridge designs, using everything they had learned about bridges, and then they were able to start building!

Our first grade optical engineers began planning and creating their lighting systems this week, after learning all about how light can be transmitted, absorbed, reflected, and refracted.

Our second grade friends enjoyed an open makerspace day this week after an exciting visit from their 5th grade friends last week!

Our third graders finished up their unit opener story Despina Makes a Splash and started discussing their ideas for their own submersible designs.

Our fourth graders were so excited about the upcoming Super Bowl and the special Eagles Pep Rally at TES that they helped to transform the Collaboratory into a festive football field!  The students created their own field goal posts, football launchers, footballs, and cheerleader pom poms!

We are excited to see what adventures are in store for us next week!
